OT: How to get through to PayPal Customer Service

So, I've been having some crazy account issues as of late...PayPal has a mind of it's own and randomly changes my primary phone number and confirmed home address. I've been trying to get this fixed for months...

So today I call the 800 number and just start saying "speak to a customer service representative" to every prompt the automated system gives me, though the phrase was never an option...after saying it about 3 times, I finall spoke to a living person in India.

I think my problem is fixed and I didn't have to sit on the phone for 30 minutes.

If you say "Pakistan sucks" you get right in.
  • sledgehammer?
  • This is no joke. Try to transfer $1,000,000 to your Paypal account from your bank account that is tied to your PP account. They will call you within an hour. I remember reading a newspaper article on some random website a few years ago where a guy had a similar problem and needed to speak with customer service but he could not get a human on the phone.

    Ross,

If you'd like to speak to an English-Speaking American be sure to call 1-888-221-1161.

I have never had a problem using that PayPal number; never had to wait longer than a few seconds for a rep.

The regular 1-800 number will land you in limbo many times.
