SGC to PSA crossover opportunity?

I just won an Alcindor RC SGC 92 (8.5) and am thinking about cracking it out and sending it in to PSA. Is there a decent chance this thing gets a PSA 8.5 or possibly a 9?

    That's a possibility, though I've been on the hunt for a PSA 9 Alcindor RC for a while and they're tough to find. Obviously low population. Even if it goes down to an 8, I've sold an 8 in the past for more than I paid for this. The hope is to get a 9.

    Well now that you have posted a picture on here for PSA to see, they will be on the lookout to make sure it crosses over as an 8!!image

    But then again, I'm cracking it out and submitting through a friend. I'm tricky (and cheap) that way. image

    I'm curious if anyone has had good luck crossing SGC 92s to PSA 9. Cracking it out seems the only approach so that it removes bias and allows them to better examine the card.

    If you send it in the holder it will be minimum grade not met even if you say 8.5. They don't cross high dollar cards in my experience. If you crack it and it looks mint you may get a 9. If it's not mint I would leave it in the SGC holder.

    Leave it as is, its a terrific looking card and PSA sucks - except for these damn messageboards. And here is mine.....
