Do You Combine Shipping for Multiple Auction Winner?

I just won a couple of auctions, 88-89 Fleer Kareem SGC96 and a 88-89 Fleer Jordan PSA 9. The descriptions don't say combined shipping, so is it bad etiquette to ask the seller to combine?

  • No it isn't bad etiquette to ask, I gladly combine shipping on my auctions when asked.

I combine them even when not asked to. I ship everything in a priority box, so it basically costs the same to ship one card as it does 8.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

  • Great, thanks. I did ask. His price for USPS priority shipping is $4.85 each. I think that's the price for flat rate envelope.
  • It never hurts to ask.
  • I always combine shippng, and ask for it if it's not listed when I buy.
    Just my 2 cents.

I ask for it(expect it) and always combine when multiple auctions won.

    As a buyer, I ask before I bid/buy.

As a seller, I used to combine whether I was asked or not.
Since I started using "free" shipping, the question never comes up.

    ...........

Sellers and buyers may note: "Free" shipping likely negatively
impacts many buyers. The mailing-cost is built into the item; if
a buyer buys multiple items, that cost is built into EACH item.

As a buyer, I ask -- if it's not listed and they say no, I pay what they ask and make a note that they don't combine.

As a seller, I explicity state in my auctions that I combine and what the combine rates are.
  • As a buyer only, I look for combined shipping, and usually try to win more items when it is offered. Sure it is just psychological, but works on me.
