Medieval coins - who can help ID them?

I recieved these pictures from a friend who thinks that I can help him ID the coins. Well... actually I have no idea what this is. I'm gonna need some help if I am going to impress him

Compared to coins I have seen on Ebay these COULD be German or Austrian.

Crikey, I just got one in the mail yesterday that looked a heck of a lot like that first one... I think it was attributed as an Austrian pfennig of some kind.

I agree with LordM in his attribution of No. 1 as a pfenning.

Regarding No. 2 .... I know i've seen this design before but can't find a reference photo online or in my books to attribute. Can you get pic of the opposite side of the coin? It definitely looks like its been clipped many times.

Both coins are uniface so there isn't really anything on the other side. I've seen a lot of those Austrian pfennigs on Ebay but I can't remember seing these particular types.

In 1960 I bought two medievals that took me 40 years to ID. Hope you have better luck.

Here's the thread about my coin which seems to resemble your first one.

Anthony, aka "Stainless", recently sent it to me. His pics of it are apparently deleted now, but the subsequent links to similar pieces posted by others still work.
