The difficulties of working on a player set,

Anyone else find it difficult to find cards you need for your player set? I've been working on my Colavito's for a very long time. And it seems no one will ever sell anything new.

Argh.

    All the time.....image

I'm working on cards of Dan Fouts, Charlie Joiner, Kellen Winslow, Randy Jones and Terry Forster. I don't have access to raw cards that I can go through for grading candidates, so I have to rely on those that are already graded. The problem lies in the fact that very few people are even sending the cards in to be graded in the first place. Those that do, are on the set registry themselves, so the cards aren't available for sale.

  • Just do what I do....work on 30 different sets and 4-5 player collections at the same time.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
  • I have two Rockys from the 1962 set - All-Star and in action. Not sure if they are in the 4 or 5 range.

    Just let me know.

    cheers,
