grades popped... strange situation

I got some rough grades on my sub...
including 2 trimmed... who knows...
the one I thought might be trimmed... the mathews... (it looked good
but I thought just maybe it could be..)
got a grade.. lol.. I hoped for an 8.. centering must have caused the 7.. might even be a 9 o/c
I asked them to please at least review the 62 koufax before shipping, because it looked like an 8-9 to me..
full border.. I also had another 62 jello clemente not get graded on a previous sub
that I thought would easily get a grade..

and was told they do not assign numerical grades to handcut cards....????

really because I have hundreds...???

I basically expected 10's on the modern stuff... if they aren't 10's
I have no idea what a 10 looks like... the 8... arod is random.. lol
both cards are identical and straight from the pack/ box

they messed up a previous sub and graded some authentic and I sent in for review and it was corrected..
they are pretty good about that so hopefully I get some good news...

    poppa that transogram is insane!!!

mike... thanks.. just got a cold streak going right now.. hopefully that will change soon...
  • Thanks for the compliments, guys!

I did want to add that PSA told me that they only give grades to hand-cuts that have
some type of border around them and that the border (dashes etc) must be visible on all sides.

Perforated cards will receive grades only if perforated tabs show.

Not sure why they just couldn't agree to a certain measurement, like a standard card size, for non-bordered, non-perforated cards?

The large picture in your sig line offends me newbie.
  • Nick, you were never like this when we were dating.

    Thanks Mike,

my son cut it out for me .... I thought it was going to come back a 7 or maybe an 8.

when I saw the 9, I about crapped my pants image

News travels fast on these boards .... I've already received 9 offers via PMs.

Any idea what this baby's on the market for these days????

A PSA 6 sold for $900 back in June, so yours must be worth $371,859 image

    image I wish!

  • Here's an example of a Hand-Cut panel to which PSA will only assign an AUTHENTIC grade
    and not a NUMBER grade.

It's the ONLY '66 Topps Rub-Offs Panel in the entire POP Report incidentally.
