Probably a stupid question, but I have to ask...

I am just starting to build a vintage wax/rack/cello collection and have some questions for anybody that is willing to answer them. Okay guys, this may sound stupid, but I have to ask. Like him or not, Gary actually has some pretty nice wax that is PSA graded in his eBay store. Would you trust it since it is PSA graded? Being PSA graded, wouldn't Steve have authenticated it? Afterall, if it was re-sealed and it accidentally got by Steve, couldn't he be missing others too? I don't believe that is the case and I want to believe it is real since it is PSA graded/authenticated, but then again I know Gary's past.

I also know that some of you have been burned by Gary and wouldn't do business with him under any circumstances. But personal feelings aside, should I be able to trust his wax that is PSA graded?

I've often wondered if Gary sells the graded stuff only to try to legitimize his re-sealed stuff. Buyers probably think if some of it's legit, then it must all be legit. It kind of creates a false hope in their mind.

Any thoughts?

I will try to post some pictures of my recent purchases in the next few days - all from board members or Steve Hart.

My thoughts... if it is graded by PSA and has not been tampered with, it is obviously as good as any other source.

But, more importantly, why not get it from another source? Doing business with Gary would be rewarding bad behavior... regardless if you have personally been affected by it or not, you are obviously aware of it. I personally would not buy anything, no matter how legitimate I thought it was, even at a 99% discount from Gary out of principle.

  • IMO Since Gary is slime I wouldnt give him one cent. Graded by PSA or not no sense lining his wallet when theres other PSA packs out there to be had and being sold by sellers who arent trash.

  • I don't think personal feelings should be put aside, the guy doesn't deserve any business period.

    He's bad for the hobby.

IMO stay away, they probably are legit unopened packs but if knows the sequence for that year the packs will not contain any of the key cards, John

also, keep in mind that the money he 'ripped off' the decent members of this board was probably used to fund those PSA packs he now owns originally.
