What is your best pull ever?

Mine is a 1983 Topps rack pack which I bought on Ebay for $4.99....pulled both a Sandberg RC and a Boggs RC....

Comments

  • so far my best pull was a 2007 A&G Roy Rogers Cut signature 1/1.. and the best part is that it came from a $20 retail box from Target.

i needed the cash so i sold it for $1200 and he flipped it for $2000

Back in 1998 I bought a box of Ultra FB at Walmart and pulled a Randy Moss RC (the real one).

Back in 1994 I bought one pack of 93-94 Stadium Club Basketball and pulled the Rockets Super Teams card, I was kinda unhappy because the Magic was my favorite team. The Rockets went on to win the NBA Finals so I redeemed the card for a complete set of 93-94 Stadium Club with a 'special' stamp on them.

I can't think of anything more recent than that.

I pulled that Rockets card from that set too! And I actually found that redeemed set recently at my parent's house.

I'm so glad I hung on to it all these years and didn't sell it back when the Webber and Hardaway RCs were hot. That would have been really stupid.

Ok, you twisted my arm...I love this card too...a little bit of a back story...I was 14, almost 15, when I pulled this card and I pulled it in a pack that I traded what is now a no-name rookie card for. To top it off, it had a Frank Thomas insert in it as well.

About 8 weeks ago purchased 3 packs of 84 fb from ebay. I opened 2 packs and put the third in my pack collection. I almost craped myself. I figured buying them from ebay they were probably searched.image

There is severe contrast between he and Ryan, but it's a tough auto to get in person, much less pull, so I'll take it.

  • I have not been ripping long enough to have a great pull but so far this has been it:

Hopefully it will sell one day and then I will consider it a "great" pull
  • Should've rephrased the initial post....

I meant for the thread to be about pulls of regular issue cards, not inserts...

I pulled a 1960 Mantle from a pack. Unfortunately, I did it in 1960 and I have no idea what happened to it.

Not in the regular issue. eTopps issued a presidents set later that year which included a JFK (sorry the scans are so large):

  • Haha you can tell which presidents were extremely unathletic
  • I was not alive when the cards I collect were available in packs.... except for the Ryans of course.
  • The pack had this card and Chad Hermansen Chirography autograph in it.
