Buyer threatens me today, says "if you do not reply by Monday I will report you." WTF?

Buyer buys card. I send card via DC (less than $50). Card is on its way, mailed three days after auction end, two days after payment. He sends me message today, saying he hadn't received it, and adds "I will have to report you if you do not reply by Monday. Have a nice day?"
You boys got any witty responses to throw back at him?

Any other "reply," will just make the matter worse.
BTW, I agree with storm - just give the loser the dc number. Maybe you could also throw in a link to a dating service.

I always e-mail each buyer with the ship date and the DC number - This might help you to avoid situations like this as well as build a base of repeat customers.

Any suggestion that the PITA-buyer is an illiterate phule, will assure a NEG for the seller.
That just happened on the coin-side last week.
Seller: If you will reread my listing you will see....."
Buyer's NEG: "Asked seller a question he gave me a smartass aswer."
(EBAY removed the "ass" comment, BUT the NEG stuck.)
NEVER refer an idiot buyer back to your TOS, unless you want a NEG.
Escalation is easy. I am the best there is at it, but there is not a vote in it
on today's EBAY.
De-escalation takes MAJOR restraint. It is the ONLY way for small-sellers
to remain on EBAY, in the face of the coming purge.

"Nice card, OK shipping"
This warranted the following reply by me:
"Absolutely pathetic. Paid 9/2, shipped 9/5. USPS took 10 days to deliver."
I also contacted the SOB and told him that I'm blocking him from all future auctions and that I will post his ID to collecting message boards so others can do the same. So if anyone wants to give jhay1111 the bidness for his douchebaggery, have at it. Jackass.

<< <i>I wouldn't be tickled if a card took 13 days either. It may not be your fault, but it is still 13 days. >>
Sounds like another buyer to block.
As a seller, when I buy, I'm a lot more understanding. But it's crazy. Everytime I receive a package it always has something extra in it. Feedback bait. Well, I'll say this, IMHO, with how things are in the economy now, Ebay is going to have to deliver something to sellers to keep interest sparked.
<Nods.>
I'm at the end of a fairly big selling period for me on Ebay. When it's done, I'm pretty much done there except for an occasional sales here and there. No more, it's just not worth the headache it's become.

Are you telling me that you don't mind if it takes your recent purchase 13 days for you to receive it? I agree, it's not the seller's fault, but I still wouldn't be happy. I agree the buyer shouldn't have taken his frustration out on the seller, I am just pointing out that his frustration is justified, but it shouldn't be aimed at the USPS.
