Unopened Wax Help

Guys, So reading all these posts about unopened wax has really given me the bug to go out an acquire some of the wax I enjoyed when I was a kid getting into this hobby ( 84 Donruss, 85 Fleer, 89 Upper Deck, 86 Topps FB, ETC). My question is: In terms of buying unsearched wax is Steve at BBCE the way to go? Thanks for the assistance!

    I'm sure there are a few other reliable avenues, but not many.

    Bob I saw your post earlier, I am looking particualrly though for the following: 84 Donruss, 85 Fleer, 89 UD Low series Wax boxes!

    You do not have to read too many of my posts regarding unopened wax to realize that I am a fairly strong supporter of BBCE. I have only had one serious issue with any of the packs I have purchased from Steve and he agreed with my assessment of the packs and immediately refunded my money and told me to keep the cards. The only other ones that I have bought from are Dacardworld and Carsoncitycoins (on eBay). However, Dacardworld usually wants more per box than BBCE does and Carsoncity always seems to have boxes available but they are just consignments from costumers. So, you are usually not sure of what you are getting.

    In other words, stick with BBCE.

    LSU, I was hoping you would chime in, as you seem like the guy in the know with Wax. I am going to pick up a couple wax boxes of 84 donruss. 1 to RIP and 1 to save, and 2 boxes of 85 fleer. My last question on this topic, As a brand new customer to BBCE is it out of line to ask him to wiggle a little on his price?

    I agree with LSU.

    BBCE is about the best for vintage packs and in the unlikely event of a problem, they will make it right. I have also bought from Dacardworld too and they are a little more expensive, but will also have a better modern selection (last few years)

    Steve is fair and honest, go with wax try to stay away from cello and rack packs from those years, as sequences and print runs are easily determined.

    For what it's worth, I've had *very* good luck pulling stars from rack packs bought from BBCE.

    Last one yielded a '79 Topps Ozzie Smith Rookie.
