Culpepper hasn't played for the Vikings since 2005. He just retired this year.

Culpepper's retirement has nothing to do with Jackson playing qb for them this year.

UGH, and the same goes for last year.

As far as QBs being good enough just not to lose games, there have been successful teams that have had mediocre at best QBs -- take Trent Dilfer, for example. He has a super bowl ring, and is on par with Tavaris Jackson, ridiculous as that may be...

Yes, you can win with a Trent Dilfer like quarterback. Just make sure you have a ridiculously good defense like the 2000 Baltimore Ravens, e.g. 165 points given up in 16 regular season games and 23 points in four (4) playoffs games.
