Wow, what a way to ship a exspensive set..

I never make ebay gripe threads but this one kinda ticks me off...

I recently bought a complete set of 1986-87 fleer basketball with stickers, and the guy ships it in nothing but a 600 count box with "1986 fleer basketball set w/ stickers" in big black letters on the side for everybody to see.

Now the seller is no rookie he has over 2,000 fb at 100% (I don't see how) but it seems the guy would have a little more common sense when shipping something with this much value..oh well..

The Jordan is 100% authentic but would grade 6.5 or 7 most likely.. Anyhow here's a pic of the box how it arrived.

    Im going to go out and mail a box just like that but not insure it and write "52 topps set" on the side.

    Dizzle, I am sorry that happened to you. I would venture a guess, I can tell you who you bought that set from as well. I just purchased a 1986-87 Fleer Set minus the Jordan, and the cards came the same way. To boot there was no paper or padding to keep the cards from moving around in the box he sent it in. All the card were loose, rather than putting the stars in Top loaders. Needless to say, I was not happy, and I fortunately was able to move the set on to a friend of a friend for what I paid for the set, so I was not out anything. I started my PSA 9 1986-87 Fleer set the next day!

    Mickeymantle24 : None of the cards seem to be damaged due to the POOR packaging but there are quite a few cards with white corners...Were they the same condition as prior to shipping? who knows..

    Like someone said atleast I got them safely, but it's always a good feeling when a package arrives packaged proper atleast it shows the seller cares somewhat.. I wonder if the "seller" were to recieve the same package what his thoughts would be? either way I just was a little blown away and thought I would share..

    I'll email the seller and explain how I would have sent this package and move on without leaving any feedback..

    yeah it dont take a whole lot of time to put the box in a 12x12 pri one and stuff plastic bags around it,esp for a 86-87 fleer set,that could have been dropped on the corners a couple of times and ruined a bunch of emimage

    Randy, Nick just sent me a 1955 Topps set loose in a coffee can. Only 90% of the cards got damaged so a few of your 52 Topps should be fine.

    Surprised he didn't have Jordan RC written on the box some where. Good luck with Jordan if you have it graded.

    I noticed you're posting on Net54 now....A little advice would be don't act like a complete nutjob over there or you'll be booted rather quickly....See ya around Gary.
