    Jackie Robinson 2-3
    Frank Robinson 3-4
    Wilt Chamberlain 4OC
  • I vote for:

    Jackie Robinson
    Frank Robinson
Mickey Mantle & Aaron (any thing Mantle seems to sell)

<< <i>You guys are missing my point. The Frank Robinson, in a PSA 4 (im not saying it is) only brings $50, but Pafko, even if you think it's a PSA 1 sells for $75 to $100. >>

You have in effect answered your own question.

    Pafko 1
    Aaron / Mantle 4

    I guessed the others above.

  • If you ever plan on reselling, the Pafko in a 1 or 2 would probably get about twice as much money slabbed as it would raw. For a personal collection, I would say the Jackie and Frank.

    Thanks Rob.

Just so everyone knows, I am not looking to send in the 3 highest grades. If the 1957 Frank Robinson Brings $50 in PSA 4, and the 1952 Pafko in PSA 1 brings $75 to $100, I will send in the Pafko.
  • Hi Nick,

    I'd go with these (JMHO):

    Andy Pafko * PSA 1 * $100-$150 (red back) ... a tad less for a (black back)
    Jackie Robinson * PSA 3 * $75
    Mickey Mantle & Aaron * PSA 4 * $70

    whereas, the Robinson in PSA 4 would only bring about $50;
and the Chamberlain in PSA 4OC would net around $50 also.

plus, the Pafko might yield a 2? you never know!

The 3 cards I originally picked, were the most appealing to me ( I don't have a clue of any of the cards value w/o checking VCP). I'm thinking of putting a for-sale sub together and I'm kinda stumped myself.

I would send in these 3:

    Jackie Robinson - 3
    Mantle/Aaron - 4
Chamberlain - 3, due to centering.

    The others:

    Pafko - 1
    F. Robinson - 2/3.

To put a finish on this uninteresting saga, I ended up choosing the 1952 Pafko, the 1954 Jackie Robinson, and 1958 Mantle/Aaron combo as the last 3 for my submission. Thanks to all who helped.

They are all very nice cards. I think the Wilt has a chance at a 5 or 6oc.

I love looking at cards like this. That Pafko is just a great card in my opinion. I remember in my teens always wanting the Pafko, the Mantle, and the Mathews from that set. Great cards Nick!
