most commonly forged baseball cards by decade (1959 - 1989)

Is "forged" the right word?? It doesn't sound right to me.
Anyways....I'm asking this mostly so I know where to be the most careful when I by raw.
So for instance, I'm pretty sure that at one point in time there were quite a few 84 Donruss Mattingly fakes in circulation. What else in the 80s?
I know nothing about fakes from the 60s and 70s. Anyone have any insight?

Not altered, counterfeited.

I posted no page.
1989 B/W (Black White) Test are ALL fake. No print Dots, photocopied on glossy photo like paper.
Whiteout- Lookout for smeared looking print dots to spot a fake.
Saw Cuts-
1990 Topps Thomas NNOF - will have less shoe showing
1985 Topps McGwire- cropping difference
1909-11 T206- Font difference, color is dots, not wash, some have font misaligned.
1990 Donruss Aqueous Test cards- Font is wrong.
1991 Topps Desert Shield- fakes have a brighter seal.
60's I'd go with the Rose RC, also ....they were a problem 20+ years ago.
Mosaic said, "counterfeiters have tried their luck with 1969 and 1970 Topps Nolan Ryan issues as well. I could've sworn Beckett did alerts for both at one point"
I haven't picked up a Beckett in 10 years, but now that you said that, I think you're right - I seem to remember they used to have an 'alert' in the price section for those...at least the 1970 Ryan.
70's ???
80's 85 Topps McGwire....there's probably 2 of these for every real one out there
<apologies in advance...getting off the 'baseball' part for a second>
I had a friend give me a counterfeit '86 Fleer Jordan about six months back....didn't ask where he got them, but he had several and was giving them out to people, and he's not really into cards.
In the early 90's, I could pick them out pretty easily - dot patterns in logos, etc. (As a matter of fact, I remember Beckett or Tuff Stuff running a pretty in depth article at the time, circa 1991)
What scared me: This thing I can't - at least with the naked eye...NO WAY I would buy a Jordan without it being graded.
The scary part is that we only know part of the story and many more cards were counterfeited and
not documented. I am also aware of 1989 Score Troy Aikman.
Oh my, the 1986 fleer Jordan is classic. As you all state here, if you buy one, buy a graded one.
60's - Pete Rose, Steve Carlton, Yaz, Palmer, Carew, Seaver, Robinson, Ryan, Jackson
