Stone PM'ed me last night commenting that people only seem to notice my controversial and "negative" posts, so I thought I'd start an unmistakeably positive thread for once....
So....here are the top five (make that six) things I love about the hobby:
1) All the gorgeous vintage cards from the 50's and 60's that are miniature works of art.
2) Seeing all the gorgeous vintage cards I have on display every time I walk around my house.
3) The challenge of building sets....I have been working for years on my uncracked 1971 Kelloggs BB and 1977 Topps Mexican FB sets, am now one card away from finishing both, and have started working on a 1961 Fleer BKB set. Have also been working haphazardly on the 1969 Topps Team Posters and 1973 Topps Puzzles sets and have about halfway through each set. Future set building projects on the agenda include 1955 Bowman FB, 1956 Topps FB, 1962 Topps FB, 1964 Philly FB, and 1954-55 Topps Hockey.
4) Interacting with other collectors such as those on these boards, even when they disagree with me.
5) Collecting Topps Heritage BB (2003, 2004, 2005, and 2007) and other modern sets based on vintage designs.
6) Enjoying the incredible photography and simple design of the 1992 Upper Deck and 1993 Donruss baseball sets.

PM'ing people, settin' em straight, yep, that definatley falls into Mikes duties.
He PM'd me about givin up hookin a year or so ago, i cant thank him enough!
