Would you shy away from listing cards on Ebay that will end over Labor Day weekend?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience putting cards up on ebay that end on a holiday weekend...like Labor Day weekend. Are there a lot less people bidding?

    I didn't think about that. Glad you posted this. Maybe end auctions on Wednesday or so as people are getting back in the swing of things from their holliday.

    I have never really had a problem with it, one of my best single days was July 4th this year, but the weekend after was kinda slow.

    best time of the year for buyers. No way would I list an auction if I was the seller though.

    dont' think it will make a difference. it only takes 2 bidders to get your price. plus with sniping it doesn't matter if people are home or not.

    I would avoid it. As a buyer I've gotten some great deals around holidays. True, all it takes is 2 bidders to run up the price, but if one of them went camping, you're SOL. And yes, people snipe, but not everyone does, and those who do snipe don't always set up their snipes days ahead of time.

    I'll just do like I did July 4th have a ton of fixed price items running at the time along with a few auctions on items that will always sell well for me.

    just start your cards at the least amount you want.. im listing a bunch of pete rose graded starting out at like $5. don
