SGC 100's are ultra rare enough, but this one is a 1989 UD Griffey! But is it worth $12,500?
1989 Upper Deck Griffey RC in SGC 100 (Pristine)
I thought I'd show this to you guys because SGC 100's are plenty rare enough overall; to find one of such a key card like this one is exceptional.
Question is though, is perfection worth over $12K?

<< <i>The t/b centering on the back is not perfect, therefore the card is not pristine, IMO. >>
If you include the hologram at the bottom as the reference point, it just may be.
You would think that a card of that stature would have a better scan. People on Ebay, for the most part, don't know how to scan. I am very picky about that.

I agree. A pristine card, especially when observed from a fuzzy scan, should show absolutely no minor faults. The hologram is also not centered. Maybe it deserves a 98, but not a 100.

Who cares what it is graded at? I make up my own mind when
looking at graded cards.
The grade a company gives it is a starting point for me.

Side to side centering is not 50/50 on front or back, either.
crappy scans too!
