He will file SNAD and send you back a box of rocks with signature confirmation, which will get him a refund from paypal while keeping your item. Just kidding. Good luck with your transaction.

On the other hand I have been buying and selling as a Canadian for a lot of years on Ebay and only had a handful of troubles...a very small handful.

Mathew, we always suspected that about you. image Just kidding of course.

Back to the OT, you can usually tell by the buyers feedback. Many Canucks have spent many hundreds of $$ with me and there has never been a problem. If you want to PM me the buyers name I'll let you know if we've dealt before. I've done a ton of hockey cards and jerseys north of the border and all has been smooth.

I don't see the problem? I thought sellers were protected for international sales now?

  • Never had a problem with a canadian buyer but as with all ebay deals check their feedback, get signature confirm on it.
  • Ron, I wouldn't be concerned. I am from canada and have bought many relatively high ticket items over $1000, and always use paypal. I think in general you have about the same chance of a Canadian screwing you as an American. I would use whatever judgement you normally exercise with any transaction of this size. Jeff

I'm not Canadian, but I would venture a guess that you actually have LESS of a chance of a Canadian screwing you over. I've never had anything but great transactions with our friends north of the border. Keep in mind that the Canadian Dollar buys a lot more cards than it used to so I'd imagine a lot more Canucks are shopping south of the border these days.

I have never had a problem with Canadian buyers or sellers.

    Good for you.
  • I'm not Canadian but I did play one on TV once. Make sure they pay you in Canadian dollars so you have something to spend should you ever venture into Canada or play one on TV.
