BBCE pack rip

So I hadn't bought any cards for a couple months and decided to splurge at BBCE.

Bought 1 box of 1980-81 Topps Basketball, 5 packs of 1986-87 Fleer basketball and a box of 1981 Golf. I got them this morning and couldn't help myself.

No Jordan but pretty much every other star from 86 plus 2 nice Bird/Magic rookies. I haven't opened the golf yet, will once I figure out what cards I should be hoping to pull image

Scans to follow.

That's a splurge and a half. You must have been shorting the market this week! Don't post a scan of a potential PSA 10 Jack Nicklaus from the golf...LSUTigers will have a heart attack.

    Robb,

I'm down to just 3 cards needed for my 1980-81 Topps basketball collection.

If you have any cards that you do not want to keep from that box, please let me know if I can send you my 3 card want list to see if you have any of the 3 available.

I'll be happy to buy them if so.

    Thanks,

    James

As long as the list doesn't include the Bird/Magic rookie just PM them to me with your address and I will send them. I actually have over 2000 loose 1980/81 commons. Those boxes and 86-87 fleer packs are my addiction (which BBCE could happily attest to I'm sure).

    Many thanks,

    Don't need the Bird/Magic card--just 3 common cards.

    I'll send a PM.

    Thanks again!

Nice to see someone get quality cards and no "its been searched" claims.

Some other 86 Fleer cards. Overall I can't complain missed the Jordan (one pack had the right sequence but then the dread mid pack flip, upside down card started a new sequence) but hit pretty much all the other big stars (Malone, Mullin, Ewing, Drexler, Wilkins, Barkley,Magic, Bird).

PM sent. Nice cards those bird/magic may have a shot at a psa 9 if you get the right grader.

Some very nicely centered 86 Fleers! That Dominique is spectacular! If it werent for a bit of chipping on the dreaded right edge, I think it would have a chance at 10.

No Jordan you say. May have to pick up a few packs. Still some nice cards out of those packs you did open. The bird/magic cards are great! Congrats! The '81 Donruss boxes he has are very nice! Good luck!

Given PSA's track record I'm pretty sure at least one of them will come back "Evidence of trimming". I don't think I've had a sub in a while that didn't have at least one "evidence" reject.

  • Nice cards. Quite a few of those 86 Fleer look like potential 10 material. To answer Mike's post, please do not post a pic of a centered Nicklaus. I may throw up on my keyboard.
  • Those 86's look great. The Barkley was my favorite as a kid.

    And great looking Bird Magics.

nice cards. i'd be interested in some of the 86 fleer if they are for sale.

the 80/81 birds look to be some of the best centered i've seen in quite some time. great pulls.

    Thanks,
