To celebrate my Ceylon Rupee making PF67 I wanted to have a little giveaway. Not the Ceylon piece but a Jamaica 5 Shillings, Copper Nickel Proof, mintage of 20,000. These were struck to commemorate the 1966 Commenwealth Games. Just reply here and we will assign a number and have a random drawing on Monday, no old numismatists need apply.
Please ignore the color in the photo, it's a plain white coin, my lights had not warmed up when I took this.
And here is the Ceylon Rupee celebrating 2500 Years of Buddhism, colors are correct, a hazy blue tone with gold highlights.
