PayPal/Ebay question...

Okay, I'm thinking about setting up a separate seller account on ebay. I'm going to finish up my selling on that account. I know some may think that's stupid, but it's just what I want to do.
Do I have to have a different paypal account also or if not how do I hook up my current paypal to the new seller account? Thanks!

You do not need a separate paypal account for changing eBay accounts, or multiple eBay accounts. When you fill out your "sell my item" page, just put the email address you have for your paypal account in the box that allows you to accept paypal for that auction.

Actually, many sellers are retiring and using brand-new IDs
    to close-out their inventory.

They want to preserve their good IDs and keep them clean in
case they ever want to come back. Currently, it is just too easy
to get a clean ID dirty.

You need a new email addy FOR EBAY, and PayPal may/will hold funds
for items sold on the new EBAY account. You can use the same PP
    account for multiple accounts.

TONS of buyers seem to have gone off the deep end; they want
everything yesterday, and they leave NEGs over NOTHING.

There is a good lynch-mob thread on the coinside.

  • Well, this is part of the reason I wanted to do this. The other day I received a threatening message from a buyer who had bought something from me over the weekend, on a Saturday night. He thought it should be there on Monday. I reminded him that the post office isn't open on Sunday's. I thought about reporting it to Ebay, but they don't give a crap. I'm sure he'll neutral me.
With that said, I'm doing this just because of that one person. But, if I'm going to sell the rest of my stuff and also wrap things up on there, then I want to preserve my original account at all costs. Just my opinion.
