If had been alive he probally would have played in 74. His last Topps card was in 73 so it makes since if you are going to make a card you woluld pick the first year that he did not have one.
Tough to beat Con40, but here are a few last cards of HOFers. Since Hanlon got in as a manager I figure his counts. I think Chance had a ZeeNut after his CJ, but it's too late to look it up.

He died in 1972, which means his final year of playing baseball was in 1972. He DID have a card in 1973 which his final year's stats and final career summary.
Now, if you wanted to make the card a "Hall of Fame: Class of 1973" subset card, then that would be cool.

I suppose you could argue that the World Series card featuring Mays in the '74 set was his last card though.
