What sport do you collect? Vote!

I know baseball is probably the most popular among collector's on these boards, but I would like to see how the other sports and non sports match up.
Please vote what sport, non sport you would say you focus the most on in your personal collection.

  • Hockey never gets any love.....lol
I love hockey as a sport! but, I haven't really started collecting the vintage hockey cards I would like to at some point.

Need to distinguish between cards and memorabilia. I collect primarily baseball cards with basketball and football as #2 and #3 respectively but I had to vote for golf because I have a massive golf memorabilia collection.

I don't mind watching hockey, now that I can see the Blackhawks home games on tv now.
  • Vito I would love to see pics of your autographed golfball collection. I think I seen the pic of the hole flag filled with US Open auto's (atleast I think that was in your collection)
Cards-Memorabilia just a vote of what you focus on the most for your personal collection to show where everyones collection is at or heading..

I picked football, but I collect everything and anything on cards. Baseball, Football, Basketball, Hockey, golf, NASCAR, wrestling, non-sport (movies, TV shows, almost all Inkworks products, playboy cards, adult cards ie Juicy Honey) and everything in between.

Anyone want to trade some Hannah Montana Foil Stickers??
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

You gotta put boxing in there somewhere, man. Some of those are among the best cards ever.

I'm offended that you don't have badminton as one of the choices

It takes alot of skill and agility to look this dumb.

  • dont be a hater LMM. Just because you got schooled repeatedly in gym at Badmitton and now you have awful flashbacks and yearn for day you will whack the birdie for the winning shot....just hush and take your depakote.

WHAT, No Racing on the list. No love for racing, yet. Hockey gets more love then racing, they made the list. Racing cards are now listed in the SMR!

no love for biathlon. what other sport combines the joys of communing with the alpine wilderness while wearing elongated toothpicks on your feet and shooting things?

    didn't think so.

Boxing added! I have to agree that Boxing does have some great vintage cards, I've been eyeing some of the 48' Boxing leafs among others to eventually collect.

I collect Saved By the Bell cards. Some consider them non-sports but I feel that since A.C. Slater was a 9 sport star, they fall into the sports category.

On the non-sport side - my most recent project which will takes quite a few years, is collecting lobby cards from when I was a kid - the Sci-Fi, Horror flics of the 50s.

Lobby cards are not produced like they used to since single movie theaters gave way to muliplexes that don't require the same kind of advertising and there's not really the "store-front" attraction needed I quess.

LC's are for the most part 11x14" - come in series of 8 cards in which the "header" card has the best graphics and thus commanding the biggest bite when buying on ebay.

    Zack ran track too.

I'm pretty sure Zack was in the closet
  • So how many of you ran to the movie theater to see "Show Girls"?
But sticking with the main topic my focus currently is mainly on football but I also collect baseball and I do have a nonsport collection of some sort. I have a full set of cards released in 1992 but were pulled quickly from the shelves shortly after their release. The set is the True Crime series that features serial killers, mass murderers, mobsters and g-men. Here are some pics from a box break from a while ago. How 'bout a Charles Manson rookie card.
