I've just been scammed on Ebay, new one.

Imagine that? Well, this one is a new one to me. I sold a Sports Impressions figure of Honus Wagner, the buyer gave me an offer and we went back and forth. They agreed and sent Paypal immediately on Saturday am. I hurried to get it out in Saturdays mail since they paid so quickly. Today, the person filed "Unauthorized Usage" on Paypal and my money has been put on hold and Paypal says money refunded. Now I am out the item and $10 for shipping. How they do that I'm not sure, but beware. The buyer had 0 feedback, but I thought after I rec'd the confirmed payment I was okay. Any ideas?

you are safe. Call PP on the phone, during the day time.
You should have tried to STOP/Intercept the mail today. Tomorrow
is likely too late; try it any way. Go to the PO and they will help you
fill out the form.
NEVER rush to ship. In the current EBAY environment, "2-day handling time,"
is barely safe, and should be stated in the listing.
Once a scammer has your DC/SC number, he will file the fake claim. Many
sellers are no longer telling buyers when an item ships. Buyers who keep
wanting to know when something shipped are flying a red-flag.
I recieved an email from Paypal today regarding a chargeback I had for unauthorized use. I did not have DC or anything basically it said They will lose the chargeback, but I am not going to be held liable for the chargeback.
"I don't know what's going on. The transaction went through with Paypal are you saying that you did not get the payment. Please let me know because I was charged for this transaction on my credit card."
I"m really interested to see how this turns out.
Delivery Intercept Form and Process:
Emergency Use Only
If you get lucky, sometimes, they can grab the thing RIGHT BEFORE the crook gets it.
"I don't know what's going on. The transaction went through with Paypal are you saying that you did not get the payment. Please let me know because I was charged for this transaction on my credit card."'''....

THAT is exactly what EVERY scamster says to the seller.
You receive a PP payment. Transfer funds to bank account immediately. Scam artist files claim. What will PP do the get the money out of you with a $0 PP balance? Can they automatically debit it from your bank account or charge your back up forms of payment?

NOT unless you agree to it.
They will send the collection goonies after you, if you vanish; that and litigation is their only recourse.

Sorry, wrong link.
I will find the right one and post it.
This might can be filed online, but maybe not with this link.
Best way is to go to your PO.Tell them you are being scammed.
Try looking on your USPS details/tracking page for a way to file online.
Here You Go Form 1509 USPS
<< <i>Thanks Storm, I probably should have just said nothing, but I told the buyer. "I'll just hold the item until everything is cleared up." >>

That is OK, but it is always best to have ZERO communication - outside of the dispute panel -
with buyers who file claims..... fake OR legitimate.
If you get the 1509 faxed from your PO to the receiving station fast, you still have a shot at
stopping the thing.
Regardless, if your paperwork is in order with PP, you are covered anyway. I just prefer
to be proactive in my "crime fighting" crusade.
