Worried about delivery of my submission - Input needed ...

Hi All.
I recently saw the light and became a PSA member and sent in my first submission using the free vouchers. Everything seemed great, I got the email that the cards were graded and I could check them online. I got the email noting the cards have been shipped via USPS with the tracking number.
Now my concern ... The cards were "accepted/picked up" on Friday July 18. So it's been a week. Not too long, so what's my worry? Well, I only live in Northern California (PSA is of course in Southern California). My experience is that it only takes 2 or 3 days at max for anything to be delivered from Southern California to Northern California and vice versa. My family is from So Cal so I have shipped many a things and it doesn't matter if you ship 1st Class, Priority even super slow Parcel or Media Mail, it never takes more than 3 days. Add to the fact that USPS works/delivers on Saturday and we're talking 7 delivery/work days. I called PSA yesterday and they said not to worry. There policy is to wait 14 days before they run a trace or do anything about it. The rep said they deliver via Registered Mail, so I actually would believe that would get top priority and would come even faster.
So can anyone share their experience in terms of the delivery time? Should I not be worried. Have any of you had to wait this long from the point of "acceptance/pick up." Any Nor Cal members specifically have a similar experience or not?? Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Relax.

That's where you have it wrong. Registered mail, while very reliable, is the slowest due to the aforementioned reliability. Sit back and relax, your cards will soon arrive.
Seriously, no worries!

The US Postal Service told me even though it was sent Priority Mail which takes 2 days to arrive from So Cal to Nor Cal, because of the Registered Status it takes much longer because it has to be signed and documented each step of the way which slows it down. So now I know for the future and have a baseline that it takes about 6 USPS delivery days from the point of acceptance. (Man, if it takes 6 delivery days from So Cal to Nor Cal, those of you on the East Coast must be waiting a lifetime!!)
BTW, I sent in 6 BGS Gems to be crossovered and actually was a little disappointed as only 3 of them crossed to a PSA 10. One didn't make the grade. 2 others were called into question of trimming, but I know they weren't. I pulled them myself!! I've heard about these stories. Anyone have info on the criteria on how they make that call? They were modern cards ... Kobe Bryant Rookies. It's not a big deal as the cards are just as popular and valuable (maybe even more) in BGS Gem Mint grade. I actually only sent these cards in because I had the 6 free grading voucher to use and I had 6 of these cards. Plus, as a first timer, I was curious to see how they would cross.
Anyways, I recently sent in my first "real" submission on 10 regular raw cards and I'm anxious to see how that pans out. But I guess I'll be waiting a while since it was under that $5 special that stated 30 business days and now I know another 6 or so for delivery!! It's all good though, I've made the full transformation into a PSA person!
Thanks!!
