Who was talking about the Ken Griffey Jr. cards awhile back...

I remember someone in the last year talking about finding all these Griffey Jrs in boxes that they were opening up. 1989's I believe. I think they had some goal or something with them. I can't remember. I also think some people were harping on him about something.
I honestly can't remember who it is. Just curious, does anyone know? Thanks!

    I believe you are referring to Gary who's goal was to have 10,000 graded Griffey rookies. I believe the fact that it was Gary and 1989 Fleer was one of the products that he searched to get them.

    Whoever it is trying to accumulate 10,000 '89 fleer Griffey rookies should contact Mark Murphy. For the last two months he has had several ebay listings of '89 fleer psa 9 Griffey rookies in lots of 10, 50 and 100. They have been selling for around a whopping $6 a card or $600 for a lot of 100--less than they cost to have them graded!! I remember when psa 9 '89 fleer Griffey's were bringing $25. And the sad fact is there still remains thousands of factory sealed '89 fleer cases out there just waiting to add more Griffey rookies to the already rediculously swollen pops. Somebody please make it stop.....

    whoa Griffey cards are worthless unless he is in a Reds uni. 2000 pacific rules. those are htf and way better than his over produced TFD cards................
