That's it? No authentication sticker on the back, no 1/1 numbering, a piece of hair so tiny...a bit disappointing to say the least.

If I had pulled the Lincoln's pube and the bid was going to run up over $5k, I would'nt give a crap how small or curly the hair was!!

Didnt they pull a simular auction? Something about a rule selling parts of the body or something like that?

Now over $5,000. You could seriously get an Abe Lincoln autograph for that money. Who is spending this??? Has Dmitri Young recruited all of MLB to enter the card market???
  • With the amount of money that some of these types of cards bring, why would they get rid of the serial numbers and/or holograms? That's asking for trouble if you ask me.

This article was in the newspaper the other day and talks about hair collecting. The story focuses on a particular dealer who sold Topps the George Washington hairs for last years set. I wouldn't be surprised if he provided the Lincoln hair too.

How many Lincoln 1/1 hair follicles were supposed to be in the product? This one does not match the one in the photo on the box of Allen & Ginters that he has a photo of.

Maybe there's 3, like Washington. Though the Washingtons each card had a different pic. These 2 look the same.
