    Because.
  • Ya I guess the bidders saw that there are no other PSA 10s registered but they do not realize that there is a reason for that, the card is junk.
  • Because Barbaro Garbey has a name that's fun to say when a person is high?

The sad thing is that I remember (vaguely) the name Barbaro Garbey.

Its obvious 2 people forgot to put the decimal in there snipe when they programed their bids. It should have been $5.11

For $500 they could have actually bought one of my 85 years old 1/1 classic, or a 1926 Jimmie Foxx rookie, or a 1/1 blank back T207 HOFer, or etc.

PS there is a pop of 1 because only one clown got that 10 cent card graded. Its easily the dumbest purchase Ive seen this year it beats that $5K I saw someone pay for a $10 card.

All these cards in plastic that some of you worship, lived for 20-30 years in the "5 for $1" bin at every single show and card shop.

Only thing dumber is paying $5K for a cheese sandwich that looks like Jesus. But at least the sandwich would get you air time on some news show or Letterman.

fkw- that attitude is elitist at best. Maybe the buyer is a 1984 Tigers fan and could care less about your super old card of a guy from a team he or she may not like? as always, go smootch leon.

always makes me laugh when someone BASHES GRADED cards, yet they live on the Message board of the main company that grades cards...

    kind of ironic isnt it?

Maybe the buyer is working on a 84 Topps complete set and wants all 10's? I'm sure at one time we've all over paid for a certain card we needed.

not likely since Traded versions are considered part of " the set"
  • Since we have a Pujols fan responding, I paid $54 recently on eBay for a 2001 Topps Chrome Late Edition PSA 9 Pujols. The last 3 sold before this one were between $24-31.
