BBCE and eBay question

How exciting, two common topics combined on one thread.

If I list and auction for unopened packs or wax boxes on eBay and mention in the description that they were purchased from BBCE and never opened, would eBay pull the auction?

    Would only mention it because it would maybe add a little credibility to the "unopened and unserched" part.

    Steve shrink wraps all his boxes with the BBCE logo and contact info inserted somewhere on the box. Include a picture of that too.

    I also did it when I was individually selling off a lot of 10 GAI 7.5 '86-87 fleer basketball packs and had no problems. I guess if someone wanted to report it, ebay would take a look, but I didn't see the harm in it since like you said, it does help prove authenticty. Especially in the unopened card field. I also had the reciept handy in case anyone wanted me to prove it, but since they were also encapsulated by GAI, no one cared. It ended up that 2 of those packs had Jordans in them. The one I opened had commons. Well centered commons, but not $170 worth of them!
    I'd go ahead and include it in your listing.

    Yeah if they do pull it, repost without the BBCE mention.

    Ebay would prefer that you lie and state that you found it in the attic of a house you just moved into, or that you just bought it at an estate sale of a 100 year old lady who only collected pristine unopened baseball card packs.

    LSU, also be sure to mention that your are not a professional grader, but that everything looks gem mint perfect to you!

    Did you list your stuff in the BST board? I looked back a little bit and didn't see any packs or boxes

    Havent listed them yet. A lot are just leftovers of racks, cellos and wax from 1981-1987. Usually stop opening the packs when I hit the key cards and save the rest.
