Help removing wax from surface

I was looking over my cards getting ready to see what I will send in for grading. I came across my OPC lemieux rc. As I was inspecting it I noticed that their is a wax buildup on a few spots on the surface of the card. Is there a way to carefully remove this wax without damaging or altering the surface.
I recall someone stating once to use a womens nylon. I wanted to make sure before trying anything that could possibly damage the card. Even though this card is OC it remains one of my favorite cards and makes me sick to my stomach that I have found this residue. I've posted a pic and you can see it on the left and right sides in the center of the card.

As is, it is pretty bad. Likely to get a ST Q.
Be aggressive, but not with gorilla hands,
<< <i>GENTLY with a nylon should help.

What is an ST Q?
In some cases, a card will be designated with a qualifier. A "qualified" card is a card that meets all the criteria for a particular grade, but fails the standard in one area. For example, a card which exhibits all the qualities of a NM-MT 8, but is 90/10 centered left to right, will receive a grade of NM-MT 8oc. The "OC" stands for off-center. Here is a brief list of qualifiers: OC (Off-center), ST (stain), PD (Print Defect), OF (Out of Focus), and MK (Marks).
Collecting: Topps 1952-79, Bowman 1952-55, OPC 1965-71, and Pre-War White Sox cards
And I agree with others, nylons do work well, just not too agressive. Lay the card on a hard flat surface as you rub. Good luck and let us know the results.
<< <i>Is that a scratch to the far right of his shoulder or is it wax?
