Will early 80's sets fit in an 800 count box?

I picked up a bunch (a bunch to me anyway) of opened wax from 79-84, I need to pick up some boxes to store them in. Will these sets that are around 760-792 cards fit in an 800 count box? The closest store for these is 60 miles round trip and I don't want to get home to find I needed something bigger. I have three more sets to sort and then I will be posting a massive wantlist.

lets see 800 count box, 790 cards. Man thats a tough one, I dont know.

Yes, they will. I bought a bunch of 800 count boxes from columbiasports on eBay recently and they fit just fine.

I believe the 800 count boxes were designed solely for the Topps sets of 792 cards. They also have 660 count boxes for the fleer and donruss sets. If you use penny sleeves, they won't fit.

I usually put the key cards in CSI or II's and stick them on top of the cards in the box so there is usually a little wiggle room.

For the ones who thought they were really being smart, how come I can't fit 90 or 100 card sets in a 100 card box? Also, you can't fit a 180 card set in a 200 card box.

mreuter, the modern sets that consist of 90 or 100 cards are made of thicker card stock than those of the 70s and 80s sets. I ran into that problem too with some of my modern sets. You will be fine with the 800 ct. boxes for your sets of the 80s.
