1981 Topps & Fleer Stickers Question

Hi Folks.....I was just wondering....for both the 1981 Topps Stickers and the 1981 Fleer Star Stickers....did either of these issues have anything to do with the main sets from Topps and Fleer that year.....were they included in wax packs or boxes etc....or were they entirely separate sets that were marketed separately, with no relation to the 660 card Fleer set of 1981 or the 726 card Topps set of 1981?

    I don't know about 81, but I ripped a pack of 82 Topps and a sticker was in it. The stickers were sold in packs on their own as well (I know a guy that has boxes of them, as well as the albums).

    They were completely animals. They were sold in their own packs. However, the Fleer
    Star Stickers have backs that are very similar to their regular issue that year.
    Collector of 1976 Topps baseball for some stupid reason.
    Collector of Pittsburgh Pirates cards for a slightly less stupid reason.

    The 1981 Fleer Star stickers were a seperate issue, and imo way better looking than the regular issue. One drawback-after over 2 decades the stickers can be somewhat fragile. I have a waxbox of these in the pile o junque I have.

    1981 Fleer Stickers were distributed in their own packs and boxes.

    1982 Topps mini stickers came 1 per pack of 82 Topps.

    Totally separate and both were pretty "rare" at first and highly sought after. I remember we had NONE of the Topps stickers in Los Angeles for sale anywhere. Then I went on a trip to NYC and they were more plentiful. I bought like 3 or 4 boxes of Topps stickers on that trip to NYC.

    Topps issued stickers as inserts and in their own packs in '82 (the only year in the 80s they were done as inserts). Here are packs for '81 Fleer Star Stickers, 81 Topps Stickers, and 82 Topps Stickers:
