Money each month (collection)

How much money would you say you spend each month on your personal collection?
For me a cheap month would be maybe $100 and a expensive month would be maybe $500-$600 on my collection. I know there is a huge difference in spending habits on these boards so it would be interesting to me to read some responses.......thank you

<< <i>For me it totally depends upon whether or not I want my wife to eat out at all during the month. >>
If you just glanced at that sentence without really looking closely, it actually looks kind of interesting.
In the past 31 days my ebay totals, including the price of shipping, is $56. However, I would consider this past month very slow for me.
<< <i>$470,000,000,000,000 >>
Lee with that kinda money I hope you atleast picked up a Sandy Koufax 1961 Topps #344 PSA 8 this month

Well as long as you are not spending her government funded disability checks on cards.
<< <i>10 TO 15 dollars a month >>
About the same here!!
I only buy something I think I can get graded and sell for a small (hopefully large) profit. I have been selling off my collection slowly to help him out.

I saw your name and picture at the registery of the grocery store. So, that doesn't count because your check bounced.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
Not more than will allow me to eat out the Wife...er I mean eat out with the Wife. In other words, just enough so that it is under the Wife's Radar, usually about $5-800.00 per month. This last month though I have been on a spending spee, spent over 2K, but that has all been E-Bay profit.

This month $750

Last year I spent $800 or $1,000 with the BBCE buying packs and boxes (mostly late 70's, 80's) within 3 or 4 months. Baseball, basketball, football, hockey.
This year I haven't spent almost anything. My other collecting hobbies are cheap....$30 GI Joe figures or $20 for a playset.
ps if anyone has '80's football cello boxes that they want to unload, pm me. I'm in the mood to open something!

+I live 50 miles from work (equates to about $6-700 a month in gas between the wifey and I)
+Rising food prices
+The home values in our neighborhood keep going down while the taxes go up
+Student loans still hanging out there
= $0 left for cards right now.
Oh how I miss the days of disposable income.

Used the money to start a PSA 8 or better 1970 Topps baseball set.
Just sold the last card, PSA 8 Carew, on eBAy because I needed the money to feed my $2000 a month pack ripping addiction.
Now I am selling some PSA HOF'ers and other random cards so I can renew my PSA subscription and have money for my first sub of the cards I pulled from the rips.
I am waiting on my financial partner to sign off on a few mineral leases for some properties we have so I can have some extra money to buy some unopened 70's packs to rip.
For those that do not know, I am sitting on top of what is so far the 5th largest natural gas find in US history with the possibility that it could be bigger. The first mineral lease bonus I received was spent mostly on cards. I am actually scared to sign the leases on the other properties because I know I will blow it on unopened packs. Might as well get the checks written directly to Steve Hart.
