2001,2002, and 2004 Topps Heritage Baseball Sets

Someone offered me the 2001, 2002, and 2004 Topps Heritage Baseball sets complete with the shortprints but not with the inserts, so Beckett value of each set is $400, $400, and $350, respectively. The 2001 set has a mixture of black and red backs but is complete 1-407. What do you think the market value of these three sets is? There have been very few on eBay; this is what I have found so far:

2001
Partial Set that has been handled carefully with latex gloves (lol) sold for $88
Basic set with no shortprints $69.99 active

2002
Complete Set with Shortprints $359.99 active
Complete Set Active Auction with 9 Days Left $49.99 no bids
Complete Basic Set $79.99 active
Set with 50+ cards missing sold for $67

2004
Complete Master Set sold for $225
105 of the 110 Shortprints-Sold for $177
Partial Set with some SPs-Sold for $82
Complete Basic Set for $59.99-Active

Any opinions on realistic market value for these sets?

I would think that around $500 for the 3 sets would be the going rate. Maybe a little higher if sold individually.

Keep in mind that there is a HUGE difference between a base set compared to an almost master set compared to a master set. Picking off short prints
of these early sets are very hard and the inserts are tough too. Wax is no longer an option for 01 and 02 is getting high also. Each year these get harder
    to find.

If you can get all the SP's, the others will be no prob to pick up.

I've looked into finishing the sets and figure that it would cost me about $50 to finish the 2004 and 2002 sets each and quite a bit more to get both the red and black backs 1-100 for 2001. Is it worth it to finish the sets or would I be better off selling them as is?

$500 for all three of them combined? Damn, I think that needs to be higher. I probably spent that much putting the 04 set together on my own. Hell, that's $167 a set. That's insane.

are you looking to flip them? if so, then i couldn't tell you if its worth it to finish them (by adding the inserts) I would say it probably doesn't add much value to add the inserts. It certainly doesn't add $50 to the potential realized ebay price. I would say you would be most likely to get about $450-500 on ebay for them. The 2001 set has been all over the map lately, so its a crapshoot between 200-300. For the 2002 and 2004, i'd bet right around 250-300 combined for them.

Its always cheaper to buy them pre-completed, but never as much fun as opening the packs.
