I know I bought two 1999 Bowman Chrome PSA 9's at the begining of the season for about $30 total. Saw a few BIN's that were bought last night in the $70 range.
Well, since I have already been made fun of for posting it 3 times in the 20+ threads on Hamilton that I did not start, I might as well post it again...
Yea, it was me. I decided to buy the card below right AFTER someone said that it was time to sell, not buy. I bought it for $500 including overnight shipping, wanting to ensure I had it for the HR derby and all-star game. Then after I bought it, I started the thread asking if cards can spike in the HR Derby or ALL-STAR game. Posted the card before the HR Derby started, with a $795 opening bid or BIN for $995.
Before Josh was even finished with his 1st round, i had two offers and then the BIN hit. I think if I had $2k BIN it may have hit too with all the excitement.
Happy for Josh, and Happy for Me. Well, I only owned it for a day, as it just went out in the mail, as I have already got my paypal.
Blast! I will never get a Hamilton rookie card for a decent price any more. LSU im guessing the ones you were going to sell for me for a good price you sold on eBay last night huh? I don't blame you, it was Hamilton's fault for displaying his talents for more than just Ranger fans last night. Good for him, bad for me
Nice word...i had to look it up...that doesn't happen often (LOL)
arbitrage - a kind of hedged investment meant to capture slight differences in price; when there is a difference in the price of something on two different markets the arbitrageur simultaneously buys at the lower price and sells at the higher price

I would bet you can pick up most of his more common rookies for less than half what they are today before the end of the season. But, then again, I thought the same about Utley's rookie auto...they have come down, but not to where they were 6 months ago.
