My mother-in-law is under hospice care with brain cancer and it is sad indeed. Most of us will be touched by someone with cancer at some point in our lives and it is a cruel disease. Bobby Murcer was a class act and I enjoyed hearing him broadcast Yankees games. I will also alway s remember him chasing balls behind the monuments in the old Yankee stadium.

A great guy that you couldn't help but like. When he pulled through the first time, and made a return to the Yankee broadcast booth, the fans at Yankee stadium gave him a heartfelt standing ovation. Hopefully his friend Thurman is at the gates of Heaven waiting for him.

Whoa. He was on the radio speaking to Bob Costas just few weeks ago. He sounded like he was on the rebound and was promoting his new book. Quite a surprise.
