Have you ever won an eBay auction well below SMR and worried that the deal would be a sham?

It happened to me recently (3 days ago). I won a 1976 #1 Hank Aaron RB PSA 9. SMR $275, my winning bid was $117.50 (43% of SMR). The last few on eBay have sold in the $200 range, so I stressed a little on this one.

My worries are over and the card arrived today (two days after I paid). THANKS SANDLOT AUCTIONS!!

How's the sellers Feedback? If its good, I wouldnt worry about it. Be happy that it didnt get shilled up to the 200. You just got a sweet deal is all.

Looks like the holiday gods were with you on that one!

Actually, the last 5 sold on eBay, before yours, averaged $167.79.

The average for the last 5 now is $161.79, thanks to you image

SMR prices, especially for PSA 9s, are many times not even in the ballpark!

Nevertheless, still a very nice pick-up!

I wouldn't worry about such a thing... the eBay gods giveth, the eBay gods taketh away. There are a number of cards I consistently throw a lowball bid on and, eventually, I win most of them. Such is the nature of eBay. Congrats on the bargain!
