Consolidated thread for cool stuff i find from the backdoor of the topps co.

Ok, sorry to clutter up the front page with new threads each time I find something. I will just list them all in this thread. I think there will be plenty of stuff you guys will enjoy.

Here we have a 1984 usfl set, i didnt count but looks to be about 80 cards, the only problem is that each card has a sticker on the back with a # on it....

    Here we have what looks like an uncut sheet but the back is blank and its on shiny paper...

    This is some kind of original artwork...

    There is writing going down the left hand side that says
    "Dedicated to the memory of.../ toxic high ~ Drew Friedman "

    Don't ask me why this is in here but there is a screenplay for karate kid part 2. Someone from topps must have had some kind of relationship with columbia pictures because i have a ton of columbia stuff including negatives from pictures taken on movie sets.

    If it was Karate Kid III I'd be interested. Any movie about a billionaire businessman who takes months off work to get back at a teenager who beat his old Vietnam war buddy's dojo in local karate competition is right up my alley.

    (Also as a screenwriter I'd be interested in that script).

    And as an additional perversity in real life the guy who played Terry Silver was actually younger than Ralph Macchio.

    I saw "The next Karate Kid" with Hillary Swank. Decent movie. Is that the movie you're referring to?

    Topps would have screenplay and negatives from the film for producing cards of certain movies. The backs of their movie cards tell what is happening in that movie at the time and sometimes include quotes from the movie.

    I am guessing they probaly got lots of stuff like that even on movies they did not produce cards for.

    I can't wait to get home and see the pictures! I am at work and photobucket pictures do not show up image But when we are talking Karate Kid I am in!! Does anyone else think that Danny deserved all the beatings he got? It's like Johnny said, he couldn't leave well enough alone.

    yeah, im wondering that too. Do they throw out anything good to eat or just old cards and Karate Kid scripts?
