Question for those Who have gone to National?

Good Day,
Just wondering as one of the resident mostly Non Sports guy's around here if any of you ever seen anybody dealing Vintage Non Sport stuff at the National?
Mainly interested in Vintage 1930's through 1969. Not new junk.
Neil

I've been to 4 National conventions in the last 6 years, and since I do not collect, or look for, non sport cards I can not say for sure that I have seen non sport dealers set up. That being said, it is very reasonable (90% or higher kinda reasonable) to guess that there would be non sport dealers set up there.

WinPitcher may have more accurate information, but I dont recall if he ever mentioned attending any National conventions in the past.
  • I've been to 3 Nationals (although the last one was in 2003) and there are always a few strictly non-sports guys set up there and you will also find non-sports cards scattered through out the show on random tables where the dealer may have 90% sports cards.
  • There were definitely a few in Cleveland last year. I don't look for non sports either, but at least a few dealers had both. Hey, it's summer in Chicago, how can you go wrong?

My favorite dealer, Brian of Scottsdale Baseball Cards, usually has a wide selection of non-sports. I believe his father handles that section of the business. Check on the list of Authorized PSA Dealers for a link to their site to confirm their attendance.
Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all "right-thinking" people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.

This is known as “bad luck.”

It's actually Brian's dad Bob Marcy that has the non sports, and they will be there. Nicest guys to deal with.
In the past there have been a few other tables here and there with non sports, but if you're going exclusively for that you might want to go to the non sport show- I think it's in Chicago in the spring.
You might check the Net 54 Non Sports board as well.

Does anyone remember a raw card dealer out of Spring Texas? I dealt with them one year and had some very nice vintage stuff and they were very friendly. Didnt notice them last year but didnt go looking either.
