1960 Golden Press US presidents... Any info?

Just picked up the book they came in with all cards still attached. I checked vcp and saw a few sales but does anyone have info on what this book might be worth with all cards still attached except for 1 on the cover?

    Roger

Golden press came out with a slew of items during that period.

I think many were saved in great condition too.

Baseball ones can be found relatively cheap.

As for the Presidents i really am not sure but I'm sure someone will be around shortly.

I like anything with presidents on them myself.

I am going to have a lot of questions, just picked up two cars full of stuff. Looks like a lot of junk but maybe a few hidden gems.

I sold a set still attached in the book back in February for $60.00.

    Take care,

Here are the few PSA 10's that VCP has charted.

    6/8/08........eBay..........John Tyler......................$100.90
    6/8/08........eBay..........Martin Van Buren.............$37.65
    3/21/08......eBay..........Andrew Jackson...............$75.00
    3/16/08......eBay..........James Garfield..................$57.26
    2/28/08......eBay..........William Howard Taft.......$150.00
    2/28/08......eBay..........Millard Fillmore...............$150.00

Taft and Fillmore were both from 4SC and had only 1 bid (same buyer on both).

seems hard to believe that the original book with all cards attached in great shape is only worth $60

That's what I sold mine for and it was on the market for awhile. Rocky Mountain Sportscards used to sell these by the book in the old SCD's. I've watched complete books go unsold on ebay for $25.00 and I've also seen complete books go for $150.00 on ebay. It's really kinda hit or miss. I'm sure if you take the time to separate them, send them in for grading, pay the grading fees and happen to hit a 10, then you can make good money. Really kind of no different than buying raw 1984 Donruss Factory sets for $75 and sending in some low pop commons and pulling a couple 10's and selling them for hundreds each. (I got lucky with a set of those earlier this year and made about $800.00 off of it, I was excited as it was my first time in years to send in any cards for grading.) Rather than take my chance of spending close to $200.00 on grading fees and shipping on my President's book, and then maybe getting back a bunch of low grades that I couldn't move, I just sold it intact. Good luck with whatever you decide to do with yours. They are cool looking cards!
