Now, I enjoy having autos on rookies and other vintage but to put it on a nice 69 Super is just crazy! Maybe it has a wrinkle then it may be kind of cool.

I prefer not to have auto's on any card that already has a facsimile of one.

I understand those that collect auto's on rookie cards have no choice sometimes.

    Good for you.
  • It looks exactly like what it is....a card signed by Rose that's smaller than a regular card, therefore making his signature smaller and more compressed

Frodo I'm not sure I understand you. Are you saying 1969 Topps supers are smaller then the regular issue 1969's?

    Good for you.

Yeah, unless I'm mistaken. I remember one issue from the late '60's-early '70's that were smaller than the standard 3.5"x2.5" cards. Similar size as Deckle Edges

Doesn't look like any pete rose auto I have.
Caption on the card should read....."AWE.......... yeah.............. sparky...I do have a hangover."
thats when he must have signed it.

Reminds me of my eddie mathews ball......he had his bottle underneath the table...and by the end of the show his auto was drifting all over the place. On mine...lucky he didn't cross the threads from the sweet spot.

This 66 card set featured larger versions, (2-1/4" X 3-1/4") of the regular issue cards and were High Gloss cards. A test issue, only distributed in Michigan, these are extremly rare!

According to someone on the net.

I have no idea how rare they are but I was always under the impression they were larger then the standard issue card.

The autograph looks like Pete could've been signing it in a crowd (say after a game), and in the middle of him signing his last name, someone bumped his right hand and caused him to garble it image
