Waverly 82 at it again. Something stinks.

So here we are at the deadest time on Ebay in quite awhile, but it doesn't appeared to have slowed Waverly82's auctions. They look as strong as ever. Sorry to level this accusation without more than mere instinct, but I think there is a massive amount of shilling going on with his auctions. Take a look at the '61 Gentile he's got up right now. $43 already for that piece of crap? Are you kidding me??? Something stinks and it appears to be a Kentucky Steamer dropped by Waverly.

    I've always had much better luck selling lower grade 61 highs than higher grade ones, especially Gentile, Cerv, and a few others. I've even had mid grade examples bid up to the high Beckett.

    what makes you think they are shill bids? Personally I think they are just stupid people.... this card is bid well over $500.00 I cant tell if its trimmed, but geez.

    You think the card is trimmed because the left border is ruff? To me that would tell me the differently.
    Or did I misunderstand you?

    2 PSA 8's closed for $515 and $525. Do you think this Mantle is a PSA 8?

    I have no idea what that card will grade out at, Id rather buy one already graded if I was spending 5 bills on it.

    3 years ago I bought one raw off ebay for around 250.00-300.00 had it graded and it came back a 7.

    I was lucky.

    if not trimmed I would think that is at least an 8
    I think it looks ok.. but don't know much about the seller
