thinking of buying a framed signed larry bird jersey

i'm thinking of buying a framed & signed larry bird jersey thats authenticated (preferably by steiner sports, although i dont think they sell these anymore); do any of u guys know a reputable source where i can get one and what is a fair price to pay for one?? or would it be less expensive to just buy the signed jersey and get it professionally framed on my own?? thanks in advance for any help!!

Does Mike Lowell know you're cheating on him?

Having it framed and matted yourself will run you somewhere around $300-$400. Certified jerseys by themselves sell around $400-500. If Steiner doesn't carry them no more maybe Mounted Memories? I can't remember how much certified framed Bird jerseys are but I seen a few at the big shows here in Chicago. I'am sure there will be a few at the National. I guess what I'am saying is I would think having it already framed may be the best way to go. If you can find one certified and nicely matted.

I found these guys on Ebay and im thinking about sending them one of my signed jerseys to see how they look. Thier auctions usually end anywhere between $110 and $130 . They charge i think $60 for shipping and of course you pay to ship your jersey to them. So i don't think it's that bad a deal and the finished product looks pretty good to me. They supply the 8X10 and the 2 cards unless you want them to use what you have

    How come Dave?

Nothing to do with on the court stuff, just everything thats gone on with him off the court the last 5 years.

Still am a die hard Laker fan and will still root for Kobe just decided to cool it with collecting him.

That sounds like a good price kobe. I'am not a big fan of the cards and 8x10 with the jersey but all that seems like a deal.

I've never sent anything to planet frame, but have purchased a Montana piece already framed. It is outstanding for the price (around $250 shipped). You'll pay anywhere from $60 (hobby lobby) to $199 (Penzoni, etc.) just for a jersey shadowbox. Getting a nice peice already framed is for sure cheaper than having a professional frame it. You may, however, be able to do it yourself for cheaper, but looks are everything. Planet frame does quality work that looks good, at a decent price.
