I thought ebay killed auctions that failed PSA/DNA quick opinion?

I was bidding on a "signed" 1993 Topps Derek Jeter card on ebay and I paid for a PSA/DNA quick opinion. It came back as "Likely Not Genuine" a couple of days ago. I even notified ebay myself that it failed. However, they still let the auction run to completion a short while ago and some bidder paid over $45.00 for it and is going to get hosed.

I was always under the impression that if an ebay item failed PSA/DNA quick opinion, that PSA/DNA notified ebay and the item went "Poof". Just a heads up that that protection may no longer be available.

    Not sure, but I posted the text above from his auction. He assures your money back...LOL

    Maybe the extra bonus card is a AROD card with a bogus sig. It's certainly buyer beware when purchasing non-certified sigs.

    Actually Ebay should have a notice on auctions if the items fail the PSA quick opinion.

    I thought they pulled it as well.

    In the past, EBAY has pulled such listings.

    Maybe the listing was close to the end when EBAY was notified.
    12 to 36 hours is about right. And, they have been shorthanded
    because of last weekend's EBAY-Live. Many employees returned
    to work on Tuesday.

    I do a LOT of psa dna quick opinions and a couple times they were not pulled. In those couple instances, I emailed both psa and ebay back and eventually it was closed. I was winner in both, and fortunately they finally killed the auction (even after it closed), so i didn't have any problems. I suggest you warn the winning bidder if you havent already.
