eBay Store Listing Special???

I have listed about 20 store items today and all of the listings have been free. Is there some promotion I am not aware of?

No sale has been announced.

Some CA members are reporting the same "free" listings,
but no special is ongoing.

The possible explanation is that the "Italian Experiment"
is being leaked into US/CA.

The BETA in Italy is giving some stores free listings. Some
of the Italy store listings are NOT in search, but can be
linked from CORE listings that the store-keeper buys.

The Italian stores are essentially becoming "warehouses"
that are NOT searchable EXCEPT from CORE listings. The
CORE listings are sold much cheaper than the regular
price. When a buyer gets to the CORE listing, he can click
on the store link and see the whole "warehouse."

It is an interesting idea ONLY because stores have become
almost invisible here anyway. Any change might be a help.

I checked my invoice on My eBay to see if I was getting charged and for all of my listings it says 0 with "PROMOTIONAL RATE" in red lettering. Huh.
