My first grading experience with PSA

so, sent in 6 cards and it is just mind-bending.
I sent a 1967 Mantle and a 1970 Munson. The Munson CLEARLY the nicer card. Better centering, cleaner back, etc. Both come back as 7. Confused? YES!
I sent in 3 Fleer 1986 basketball cards, all in more or less pristine condition. 2 come back 8.5, one 7. Confused? YES!
anyway care to comment on this? your experience is welcome!

Many new submitters have a very false sense of grading. Some thing that one must understand when submitting:
1. Grading is relatively subjective.
2. Grading is not that consistent.
3. Resubmissions are a large part of company revenue.
Creative heuristic Lee! I like it.
Most first submissions are tough. Sometimes even veteran submitters have trouble.

That is what I was thinking.
But what do I know..
<< <i>phil- What would you grade this card?
Assuming it isn't a counterfeit (hard to tell from the scan) I would think it would grade either a PSA 8 (PD) or a straight PSA 7 depending upon the mood of the grader. I'd be happier with the PSA 7, obviously.

Nope..Not even close picture is too bold and strong. The reprints are grainy with weak black lines.
Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
Here is the Mantle and Munson that both got graded the same (7) and my opin is that Munson is the better card. Thoughts.
Here is the Dr. J that came back 7, which I thought was very low. Thoughts?
Thanks

i see what you mean on the printing spot on munson. maybe that's what killed it.
On the others, I would prbobably grade the Gwynn and the Wilhelm if the corners are sharp- the others look like 6s and 5s to me.
Nice cards overall- don't let the grades get you down.
I guess I'll sell the others ungraded, but the Ford and Martin do seem to do a lot better than Raw if 6s and better. Bauer I have no idea. Very sharp other than centering. Otherwise, it'll go for 3 bux on ebay, which is a drag.
Anywhere better to sell cards than Ebay?
