Hmmm... looking at their feedback as a seller, all items sold in the past 90 days were $.01... quite a change of pace in the newest offerings. Does this strike anyone else as odd?

I [too] thought something was odd about those auctions, but I didn't want to make any [unfounded] allegations. That said, I also checked out his feedback and said "wow." But then, I said to myself "what?" Look at what he's been selling. So then I decided to dig ultra-deep.
Some of you may already know this, but ebay's completed auctions search goes back two (2) weeks. But if you know the item number, it goes back several months (4-6 months I think.) Beyond that, you get a no longer available response. BUT beyond that, if you have a ten (10) digit ebay auction number, the auction will pull up. For example, here is an auction for a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle PSA 6 from May 19, 2006! with an item number of 8810881934. (Final selling price of $22,600.00.)
So I went through CardTarget's feedback looking for a recognizable buyer or a ten (10) digit auction number starting with 881 or 882 in an attempt to find an auction for a "high-end" card. I didn't find any. Though, of course, my search wasn't comprehensive.
But I did find an auction for a 2003 etopps LeBron James that ended on June 6, 2006. Curiously, CardTarget "ended this listing early to sell to the high bidder(s) at current bid price" of $0.01. Huh? And another 2003 etopps Dwayne Wade that CardTarget ended for $0.01. I don't know.
Call me paranoid, but something definitely seems odd.
The one-cent sales could simply be some element of fee-avoidance.
I searched the primary forums on EBAY and found only one discussion of him, but it was generic and not defamatory.
I suspect he has just soured on EBAY, and is using the site to sell some expensive stuff. If the account is not jacked, that seems to be the only explanation.

I don't really understand what you are saying about shares and such ...is this like a club that buys in as a group? Sounds interesting...well at least if you know they are legit, I will notify that to ebay as well..
CardTarget first started up to track shares of cards at eTopps.
Then they decided to delve into Vintage under the same concept as eTopps. They buy a nice $10,000 card then split it up into 500 shares at $20 a share. Then the community either buys, sells or holds the shares. At some point let's say CardTarget sells the card for $12,000, then all shareholders would receive $24 per share. Very speculative group, usually more interested in the investing side of cards than the collecting.
nothing to worry about with Cardtarget they have been rock solid in the etopps world... They had a buying group going on for a few years, buying up old stuff - probably just selling it off now.
Cardtarget is FULLY legit. I have been a member over there for a relatively long time and have hated to see our partial shares market fall apart. We were a group of collectors that pooled money to buy high end and rare cards. It was great but the insurance costs and lack of trading ended up making it too costly to continue. We have been selling off our cards to private people for a few weeks and have put the rest on ebay and in upcoming auctions.

The seller may have gotten caught up in EBAY's pogrom to purge
electronic/digital items.
They may have removed - in error - his etopps listings; thus, making
yet another enemy.
Now, he is selling some "physical" merch.
Folks with that FB-count seldom get jacked, because they stay
on top of their accounts. (It can happen, obviously, but it's rare.)
Something not right.

Very speculative group, usually more interested in the investing side of cards than the collecting.
their website is the VCP of the etopps world.
