Which Mantle would you go for

This seller has 3 different 1956 Mantles up for sale. I was thinking of using the 20% live coupon + 10% ebay coupon + my 9% eBay bucks to get one...

Mantle 1

Mantle 2

Mantle 3

or would I be better off going to Levi...

Levi's Mantle

or this Aaron?

Of the cards you linked to, my favorite is Mantle #1. It's really the only one, IMO, that isn't off-center.

    Mantle 1.

I would offer him a little less; he might take $900.00 dlvd.

If he says "no," you can always offer more.

last PSA-6 on ebay sold for $701, so that might answer your question.

IMO all 4 cards are priced at 140+%, like most any BIN from a dealer who needs a good profit.

    PS. last 2 PSA-4 sold for $333 and $375, PSA-5 sold for $470
  • I guess the question:

Q: Will you accept a lower price for this item?
A: No, all of the Buy-It-Now prices are firm.

kind of isn't conducive to negotiation. Too bad.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I have found that when making an offer, the best lingo is:

"I can immediately pay $XXX for this item, delivered. If you would like
to accept this firm offer, please let me know. Thank you. Very Respectfully." signed.

Asking folks if they will cut the price is sort of like asking a chickie,
"If I asked you to marry me, would you say 'yes.'" A firm offer is
    always best.

Many sellers NEVER accept unsolicited offers, and if lowballs are
received, some sellers BBL the buyer.

    .................

$900 is a STRONG retail offer for that card. But, if the seller
doesn't need/want money, it is tough to make 'em sell.

  • nightcrawler where did you get those eBay coupons?
  • Thanks - I'll try that line - it wasn't me who sent him that question. If he blocks me, so be it. I figure an offer of 85% of his Buy-it-Now would be at least considered.

Aragorn - I think they sent you those eBay coupons based upon how many purchases you make so if you log into eBay, the coupon will appear on the main page. You can try using CJUNE0810P and see if it works, but it may or may not.

Mantle #1 would be the best of the choices (IMO).
