Any interest in a group bust for 89 UD low # case?

I'm getting the itch again to bust... I have personally never pulled a 89 UD Griffey - and would I like to see how many Griffey's can be pulled out of a case.

It looks like Steve has a low number case for $1,800 - with 20 boxes per case it should be right around $100 or less dvd per box. If you are interested please post and I'll e-mail Steve if we have enough interest to move forward - just like with the last group order I'm sure the BBCE will handle the payments and the shipping.

I might be interested. If you're one guy short i'll keep checking back and may come in for it. If you wanted to do older packs, i'd definitely be into that.

There's no reason you cant ask Steve to go nearer to $1,600 on that item. He usually discounts 10% for the board member group rips.
  • When that stuff first came out I had two Griffey's back to back in the same pack. Both had corner dings so I sent them to UD and they replaced them with two beautiful mint cards

good thinking Nam... I think 10% was the percent off he gave us in the last rip.

The collation on that product was horrible. With only one card worth chasing, it is an all or nothing proposition.

For 100 bucks or less- I'd rather have a 1989 Fleer Glossy set and get a Griffey rookie with 5% of the print run of Upper Deck.
USN 1977-1987 * ALL cards are commons unless auto'd. Buying Britneycards. NWO for life.
  • For $1800, we could do a group break of one each of 1979-1984 Topps wax boxes.
  • I busted open two boxes of 89 u.d Low #'d about a year ago. One Griffey in two boxes.....but I love that debut set. I'm in for a box.

I was thinking more like a 70s rack box bust or something... All Steve appears to have is a box of 79 Racks for 700.00 That would be around 30 to 35 a rack.

Words of a smart investor. Reserch your choice's...look at the pop count on 1989 Fleer Glossy's. I would shy away from the 1989 Upper Deck. Way overproduced!

I was never talking about investing in sports cards... just wanting to rip a box. I put my real money in other places to invest.

I loved 89 UD growing up and I figure for less than $100 bucks it would be a fun rip to see how many Griffey's the group could pull.

I'd be in on either the 89 UD box or a 79 rack pack.

Those 89 Fleer Glossy sets had terrible quality control. Just as big of a risk as the 89 UD box.
