How do I change my PayPal so I can use a Credit Card without them using my PP Funds first?

They want to apply my paypal funds balance to the amount and then put the rest on the credit card. How do I pay with the credit card and keep my paypal funds in my account? PLMK

I think on the checkout page it gives you option to use alternate funds

I believe you need to transfer the money out of your paypal account first...if there is a balance they are going to use that first. mabye someone else knows how to get around it but I've always had to transfer money out first to use a credit card.
  • Not sure you can?? I think any balance gets used first. I believe taking it out is the only way.
  • I wanted to do that for a purchase and tried just about everything without finding a solution.

I removed my bank account and added a credit card....now I am unsure how to transfer into actual money....or is it just going ot pay my credit card?

Ted I don't think you can. You will always have a balance.

Allen you must transfer any funds before you can use a CC only.

to transfer money out you need it tied to a bank account...you could have them send you a check or one of the other options for getting the money...but I'd think having paypal tied to a bank account would be the easiest. money is being transferred out of paypal into bank accounts now in 2 days which is pretty quick compared to before.

Rip- (I know your name, but I forget) You can always request a check. I got a second bank account so I can withdraw my money and they take it out of that acoount.
